Jungle has been South Africa's Energy champion since 1925.
The Jungle story started at the end of the 19th century, when Mr. Redler (then Governing Director) of Tiger Oats Company, had a vision for a mill which would not only help the farmers but also contribute towards making South Africa prosperous - "It can be and shall be done" - he declared.
The first mill was built at Maraisburg in the Cape but when the brand outgrew these premises in 1930, Maitland (the current site) was opened.
To this day, the unique milling process is what gives Jungle Oats its nutty flavour which, together with unwavering product quality, has ensured the brand’s long existence.
